夬 · 决
Judgement
扬于王庭，孚号有厉；告自邑，不利即戎，利有攸往。
Proclaimed in the king’s court; call with sincerity — there is danger. Report it to your own town; it does not further to take up arms. It furthers one to have somewhere to go.

泽上于天，夬。君子以施禄及下，居德则忌。
The lake rises to heaven: breakthrough. So the superior man gives riches to those below and dwells in virtue.
The Lines
壮于前趾，往不胜为咎。
Power in the forward toe; going without victory is blame.
“不胜”而“往”，咎也。
Going without victory: blame.
惕号，莫夜有戎，勿恤。
Cry of alarm; at dusk, do not grieve over armed conflict.
“有戎”“勿恤”，得中道也。
There is armed conflict, but no grief: he gains the middle way.
壮于頄，有凶。君子夬夬独行，遇雨若濡，有愠无咎。
Power in the cheekbone: danger. The superior man is resolute and resolute, walks alone; meeting rain, he is soaked and annoyed, yet no blame.
“君子夬夬”，终无咎也。
The superior man is resolute and resolute: in the end, no blame.
臀无肤，其行次且；牵羊悔亡，闻言不信。
No skin on the buttocks; his walk is halting. Leading the sheep, regret passes, but he does not heed what is said.
“其行次且”，位不当也；“闻言不信”，聪不明也。

苋陆夬夬，中行无咎。

“中行无咎”，中未光也。

“无号”之“凶”，终不可长也。

泽被推上天，将溢。决期已到，不可再缓——经文让决断的人在王庭上明告此事。唯一的告诫在方法：力用在不到时候的地方，会把本想破开的硬化掉。
