Judgement
亨，王假之；勿忧，宜日中。
Success. The king attains it. Do not grieve. Be like the sun at noon.

雷电皆至，丰。君子以折狱致刑。
Thunder and lightning come together: abundance. So the superior man decides lawsuits and applies punishments.
The Lines
遇其配主，虽旬无咎，往有尚。
Meeting his match; though only ten days, no blame. To go is honoured.
“虽旬无咎”，过旬灾也。
Though only ten days, no blame: past ten days comes calamity.
丰其蔀，日中见斗。往得疑疾，有孚发若，吉。
Abundance screens the sun; at midday one sees the Dipper. Going, he gains suspicion and illness; with sincerity he issues forth. Good fortune.
“有孚发若”，信以发志也。
With sincerity he issues forth: trust awakens the will.
丰其沛，日中见沬；折其右肱，无咎。
Abundance is dense; at midday one sees the stars. His right arm is broken; no blame.
“丰其沛”，不可大事也；“折其右肱”，终不可用也。
Abundance is dense: no great affairs. The right arm broken: in the end he cannot be used.
丰其蔀，日中见斗，遇其夷主，吉。
Abundance screens the sun; at midday one sees the Dipper; he meets his own lord. Good fortune.
“丰其蔀”，位不当也；“日中见斗”，幽不明也；“遇其夷主，吉”，行也。
Abundance screens the sun: the place is not right. At midday the Dipper: dark and not bright. Meeting his own lord — good fortune: he walks.
来章，有庆誉，吉。
Coming with splendour; there is celebration and praise. Good fortune.
六五之“吉”，“有庆”也。

丰其屋，蔀其家，窥其户，阒其无人，三岁不觌，凶。
Abundance fills his house; he screens his household; peeping through the door, silent, no one there; three years not seen. Ill.
“丰其屋”，天际翔也；“窥其户，阒其无人”，自藏也。

雷电俱至，盛极了：昼最长之日。丰是顶，而经文全部的焦虑是顶太显眼——要像日之中天，它接着问中午有多长。此卦要的那个决断，要在天还亮时下。
