亨，利贞。
Success. Furthered by steadfastness.
The Image
丽泽，兑。君子以朋友讲习。
The lakes are linked: the joyous. So the superior man joins his friends for discussion and practice.
The Lines
和兑，吉。
Harmonious joy. Good fortune.
“和兑”之“吉”，行未疑也。
The good fortune of harmonious joy: his walk is not yet doubted.
孚兑，吉，悔亡。
Sincere joy. Good fortune; regret passes.
“孚兑”之“吉”，信志也。
The good fortune of sincere joy: he trusts his will.
来兑，凶。
Joy that comes to him. Ill.
“来兑”之“凶”，位不当也。
The ill of joy coming to him: the place is not right.
商兑未宁，介疾有喜。
Joy deliberated is not yet settled; illness has its joy.
九四之“喜”，有庆也。
The fourth’s joy: there is cause for celebration.
孚于剥，有厉。
Sincerity in the withering; there is danger.
“孚于剥”，位正当也。
Sincerity in the withering: the place is right and proper.
引兑。
Leading joy.
上六“引兑”，未光也。
The top line leads joy: not yet bright.
